A 19th-century perspective of the South View of Charlestown, Mass., depicted in a wood engraving and handcolored to highlight the details. "This view was taken from the burying-ground on Copp's Hill in Boston. Bunker Hill Monument, in its unfinished state on Breed's Hill, and Bunker Hill, slightly to the north, are visible in the central view. Buildings connected with the U.S. Navy Yard can be seen on the extreme right." This print is from "Historical Collections Relating to the History of Every Town in Massachusetts" by John Barber.
