Collection: Frank Taylor H.

Frank H. Taylor (1846–1927) was an American artist, illustrator, and journalist known for his panoramic city views and detailed engravings of American life in the late 19th century. Based primarily in Philadelphia, Taylor produced numerous bird’s-eye views of cities and towns across the United States, combining artistic composition with cartographic accuracy.

In addition to his lithographic work, Taylor contributed illustrations to magazines and newspapers, capturing urban growth, industry, and daily life during a period of rapid change. His prints are valued today for their documentary detail and for reflecting the optimism and progress of the post–Civil War era.
