A fine map of Chile from a Dutch text edition of Blaeu's Atlas Novus. Oriented with north at the left, this map shows much of the west coast of South America. The Andes, rivers, cities and coastal features are located and identified. Several ornate cartouches decorate the map sheet, while ships and whales ply the Pacific (Mar de Chili).
